Community Tour - San Joaquin Marsh Special
Nov. 7, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.Have you ever wondered what happens to your water after it disappears down the drain? At our community tours you’ll learn about the journey of water, witness the water recycling process, and see how IRWD encourages water efficiency and environmental stewardship.
This tour will focus on the San Joaquin Marsh, diving deeper into its history and the Natural Treatment System.
The tour requires 3 miles of walking. Please wear comfortable closed-toe shoes.
The day will include:
- Microscope demonstration
- Water efficiency discussion
- Walking tour of Michelson Water Recycling Plant
- Walking tour of San Joaquin Marsh
- Informative videos
- Q&A session
- Lunch at the San Joaquin Marsh Learning Center
Community tours are free for IRWD customers, but registration is required.
